Messaging API getting started

Get access, authenticate requests, and send your first message.

Get access

Sign in with a registered ChatX account and create a sandbox immediately. Administrator approval promotes it to live customer messaging.

Authenticate requests

Create a developer app in the Business console, choose its category scopes, and save the API token shown at creation. Send that token as a Bearer token from your backend.

Send a message

Pick a category - marketing, authentication, or utility - then send its request shape to the recipient's phone number. The token must include the matching category scope, and the URL account ID must be the account that owns the developer app.

Message types

Messages are either plain text, or structured content built from a header, body, footer, and buttons or a carousel - the exact shape depends on the category.
